Car Detailing Packages Explained: What's Included and Which One You Need

Choosing a car detailing package should not be a guessing game. Here is what each Eco Car Care package actually includes — from a quick maintenance wash to a full multi-stage detail with paint correction.

One of the most common questions South Florida vehicle owners ask is also the most reasonable: what is actually in a car detailing package, and how do I pick the right one? The honest answer depends on what condition your vehicle is in, what you want it to look like when we are done, and whether you are protecting an investment or just maintaining a daily driver. This guide explains exactly what each Eco Car Care package includes and the kind of vehicle each is built for.

How We Structure Detailing Packages

Every detailing package at Eco Car Care follows the same logic: a base level of cleaning is performed first (decontamination, vacuum, glass), and then additional services stack on top — interior deep clean, paint correction, ceramic coating, odor treatment, and so on. This means you are never paying for steps you do not need, and you are never skipping a step that the vehicle actually needed.

All packages are available as either a mobile appointment or in our Fort Lauderdale detail shop. Pricing varies primarily by vehicle size: sedans, SUVs and trucks, minivans, large SUVs, and oversized vehicles like RVs or commercial vans each have their own pricing tier.

The Maintenance Package

This is the most affordable package and is built for vehicles that are already in decent shape but need a regular reset. A typical maintenance detail includes:

  • Foam-cannon pre-rinse and two-bucket exterior hand wash
  • Wheels, tires, and wheel wells cleaned and dressed
  • Glass inside and out
  • Full interior vacuum, including under seats and in trunk
  • Dashboard, console, doors, and cup holders wiped down
  • Spray sealant or quick wax for two-to-three months of paint protection

It is what we recommend for customers who detail their vehicle every six to eight weeks to keep it consistently presentable. Typical duration: two to three hours.

The Full Detail Package

The full detail is our most-booked package. It is a thorough interior and exterior service that brings a neglected vehicle back to near-new condition. It includes everything in the maintenance detail plus:

  • Iron decontamination treatment to remove embedded brake dust and rail dust
  • Clay bar treatment to remove bonded contaminants from clear coat
  • Hot water carpet and upholstery extraction
  • Steam cleaning for vents, crevices, door jambs, and seat tracks
  • Leather cleaning and conditioning
  • Plastic and vinyl conditioning with UV protectant
  • Hand-applied paint sealant for four-to-six months of protection

The full detail is the right choice for any vehicle that has not been professionally detailed in over six months, has cloth interior with minor staining, or has noticeable swirl marks and water spots in the paint. Typical duration: four to six hours.

Interior-Only and Exterior-Only Packages

Sometimes customers do not need the full bundle. We offer:

  • Interior detail — full interior service without the exterior work, ideal for cloth interiors that have absorbed odors, leather that needs restoration, or vehicles with kids and pets
  • Exterior detail — wash, decontamination, polish, and seal without the interior work, ideal for vehicles that already have a clean cabin but cosmetically need attention

Paint Correction Packages

If your vehicle has visible swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation that a wash cannot remove, you need paint correction rather than a standard detail. Paint correction physically removes a thin layer of clear coat to level out imperfections, and it is performed in stages:

  • Single-stage correction — light cut and polish, removes around 50 to 70 percent of light defects
  • Two-stage correction — compound and polish, removes around 80 to 90 percent of moderate defects
  • Three-stage correction — heavy compound, polish, and finish, used on neglected paint or before a ceramic coating

Paint correction takes longer (eight to sixteen hours depending on stage and vehicle size) and is most often performed in our Fort Lauderdale shop where lighting is controlled.

Ceramic Coating Packages

A ceramic coating is a long-term protective layer that bonds to the clear coat and provides multi-year protection against UV, contaminants, and minor scratches. Ceramic coating packages always start with at least a single-stage paint correction so the coating bonds to clean, level paint. We offer two-, three-, and five-year coatings, all installed by certified applicators.

Specialty Packages

Specialty work is priced individually and includes:

Picking the Right Package for South Florida Conditions

South Florida is harder on vehicles than most of the country. Salt air, year-round UV, sudden thunderstorms, and pollen all attack paint and interior materials. Most local customers do well on this rough schedule:

  • Maintenance detail every six to eight weeks
  • Full detail twice a year
  • Paint sealant or ceramic coating reapplied annually
  • Multi-year ceramic coating reset every three to five years

If You Are Not Sure

If you are unsure which package fits, send us a few photos of your vehicle and a quick description of how you use it (commuter, beach trips, kids, pets, etc.) and we will recommend the smallest package that produces the result you want. We would rather see a customer in the right package than upsell them into a larger one. Honest scoping is part of the reason customers in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach come back to Eco Car Care year after year.
