Lamborghini and Exotic Car Detailing in South Florida: How It's Done Right

South Florida has one of the highest per-capita concentrations of supercars and exotic vehicles in the country. Drive down Las Olas, Brickell, Collins Avenue, or through any of the gated communities in Boca Raton or Weston and you will see Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens, Aston Martins, Rolls-Royces, and Bentleys parked alongside daily drivers. These are not standard vehicles, and they should not be detailed by standard shops. The Lamborghini Veneno specifically — built in extremely limited numbers and worth multiple millions of dollars — is the most extreme example, but the same principles apply across the entire exotic segment.

Why Exotic Detailing Is Different

Three things separate exotic vehicle detailing from standard detailing: the materials, the value, and the consequences of getting it wrong.

Modern Lamborghinis use carbon fiber body panels with a clear-coated finish, exposed structural carbon trim, satin and matte paint variants, Alcantara interior surfaces, and forged composite components. Each of these requires a different cleaning chemistry and a different physical technique. A polish that is appropriate for a standard sedan's clear coat will permanently damage matte paint. A leather conditioner that works on a Cadillac's seats will leave Alcantara matted and shiny in the wrong way.

Then there is value. A Veneno's paint repair is not measured in hundreds of dollars but in tens of thousands, and in some cases the panel is no longer manufactured. There is no "we'll just respray it" on a vehicle like that — the original finish has to survive.

The Right Process for an Exotic Vehicle

1. Pre-Inspection With Photographs

Before anyone touches the car, we walk it under bright LED lighting and document the condition with photographs. Every existing imperfection is noted. This is non-negotiable on a high-value vehicle.

2. Touchless Pre-Rinse

The first contact with paint is always water and foam. A touchless pre-rinse lifts the loose surface contamination — sand, pollen, road grime — without anything physical touching the clear coat.

3. Hand Wash With Dedicated Microfiber

Two-bucket method, dedicated wash mitt that has never seen a non-exotic vehicle, and pH-neutral biodegradable shampoo. The mitt does not touch the lower body panels (where road grit accumulates) until separate, dedicated mitts and grit guards are used. This is the single most important step in preventing swirl marks.

4. Decontamination Without Aggression

Iron remover and clay bar are used selectively. On exposed carbon fiber, iron remover is applied carefully because some chemistries can dull a clear-coated carbon finish. On matte and satin finishes, no clay bar — only specialized matte-safe decontamination.

5. Paint Correction (When Appropriate)

Single-stage paint correction on an exotic is performed by a certified technician using a dual-action polisher with foam pads matched to the specific paint hardness of the manufacturer. Italian paint behaves differently from German paint, which behaves differently from British paint. Going aggressive on a soft Italian clear coat is how you burn through paint on a vehicle that cannot easily be repainted.

6. Ceramic Coating

For exotic vehicles, ceramic coating is almost always recommended. A multi-year coating bonds to the clear coat and adds a hydrophobic, UV-stable, scratch-resistant layer. On a Lamborghini, McLaren, or Ferrari, that protection is the difference between a paint surface that holds value and one that slowly accumulates etching from road tar, bug acid, and South Florida pollen.

7. Interior — Leather and Alcantara

Standard leather conditioner does not belong on Alcantara. We use specialized cleaners and brushes that lift dirt without flattening the nap. On stitched leather interiors with contrast piping, every panel is hand-cleaned and conditioned without any aggressive chemicals that could discolor stitching.

8. Carbon Fiber Trim

Exposed carbon fiber, both clear-coated and dry weave, requires a dedicated chemistry. We use specific products designed for carbon to maintain the deep weave appearance.

9. Wheels, Calipers, and Underbody

Forged exotic wheels are wiped down with separate tools. Brake calipers are inspected and cleaned where accessible. Lower body and diffuser surfaces are treated to remove road tar and exhaust soot.

10. Final Inspection

The vehicle is inspected again under the same LED lighting used at the start. Any remaining defects or transitions are addressed before the customer signs off.
